University of Arizona Programs
Susan A. Brew received her B.A. in anthropology from the University of
Arizona in 1972 and a M.A. in anthropology with an emphasis in
cross-cultural education in 1974. She lived on the Tohono O'odham
Reservation and taught English for Central Arizona College from 1973-1974,
and was subsequently employed by the Arizona State Museum. At
the Museum, Ms. Brew served as an archaeologist and later Project
Director for the Cultural Resource Management Division (CRMD), managing
archaeological, historic preservation and other contract research
projects throughout the state of Arizona for sixteen years until the
CRMD closed in 1990. In 1991 Susan was hired to coordinate Arizona's
then-fledgling Space Grant program activities. She serves as the Program
Manager of the Arizona Space Grant Consortium as well as
for the University of Arizona Space Grant program.
