Doug McCuistion, NASA Mars Program Manager, was given a briefing October 20, 2006 at UA by students representing the Inspiration Mission Team regarding a student science mission to Mars being developed in partnership with JPL: John Brashear(Texas), Janet Glenn (Montana), Eric Grimes (Alabama), Robert Mosher(Texas), Krzysztof Pennar (Arizona), Simon Porter (Alabama), and Brian Schratz (Penn State).

The Arizona/NASA Space Grant Changes in Altitudes program, co-sponsored by the NASA Phoenix Scout Mission and managed through the NAU Space Grant program, reaches out to schools throughout Arizona.

Space Grant co-sponsors a once a month Saturday science-focused "Kids' Club" with the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Kids Club is a science-oriented program aimed at children aged 8 - 12 geared to promote and encourage interest in all areas of science and mathematics.
