Doug McCuistion, NASA Mars Program Manager, was given a briefing October 20, 2006 at UA by students representing the Inspiration Mission Team regarding a student science mission to Mars being developed in partnership with JPL: John Brashear(Texas), Janet Glenn (Montana), Eric Grimes (Alabama), Robert Mosher(Texas), Krzysztof Pennar (Arizona), Simon Porter (Alabama), and Brian Schratz (Penn State).

Mary Lara, DeMiguel Elementary School, has been involved in the Balloon Launch program since it started in November 2003.ay them at random (or not so random) Photos from the Changes in Altitudes Balloon Satellite Program. The Arizona/NASA Space Grant Changes in Altitudes program, co-sponsored by the NASA Phoenix Scout Mission and managed through the NAU Space Grant program, reaches out to schools throughout Arizona.

Space Grant co-sponsors a once a month Saturday science-focused "Kids' Club" with the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Kids Club is a science-oriented program aimed at children aged 8 - 12 geared to promote and encourage interest in all areas of science and mathematics.
