This design renders a prehistoric pictograph from the Tucson Mountains that looks out over the Tucson basin and the University of Arizona. It depicts people traveling together, underneath a migration symbol. To us, it depicts what AZSGC stands for--working together to connect with space, witness its events and explore the cosmos.
The hand is a personal symbol of the reach and quest to understand and learn from the universe. The hand cradles the sun, with the earth and paths of other planets amid a comet and stars.
