  • Nasa Student Opportunities Podcasts

    NASA has a new education podcast series for high school and college students interested in participating in NASA learning opportunities.

    NASA Student Opportunities is a weekly audio podcast that features interviews with students who have received NASA internships, fellowships or scholarships. Students share their experiences and offer suggestions for students who are interested in pursuing NASA learning opportunities.

    The podcasts also provide information about upcoming learning opportunities and application deadlines.

  • NASA Education Associates Program

    What is the Education Associates Program?

    The Education Associates Program is a unique experiential learning program that provides university students and faculty the opportunity to "experience NASA."

    Who can participate?

    • Any student or faculty member at any accredited US college or university;
    • Any active K-12 teacher; and
    • Post doctoral students.

    Where are the opportunities?

    At this time, at NASA/Ames Research Center (CA), and soon to other NASA centers including Goddard Space Flight Center (MD).

    When are positions available?

    Appointments can be from two months to one year. The program is year round - you can start and stop anytime.

    Why participate?

    • You will "experience NASA"
    • You can see real world application of the things you are studying.
    • Build research relationships.
    • Participants receive a stipend.

    New NASA web site to increase access to internship opportunities in science and engineering fields for undergraduate and graduate students. Visit www.tech-interns.com, for a free, Web-based, informational resource that includes technical research and internship opportunities available in over 200 private companies, non-profit organizations and government-sponsored research centers and laboratories.

  • AIAA/Space Grant Kid's Club

    Kids Club is a science-oriented program aimed at children aged 8 - 12 geared to promote and encourage interest in all areas of science and mathematics. Once a month during the school year, Kids Club offers hands-on seminars with local engineers, scientists or other experts who conduct programs featuring a variety of activities including constructing and launching rockets and delta dart airplanes, building and using wind tunnels, learning about comets, lightning and electricity, air traffic control, building a moon base...and much more! Participants are charged a nominal fee, and scholarships are available to insure that all interested kids have an opportunity to participate.

  • Team America Rocketry Challenge

    The Team America Rocketry Challenge, the world’s largest rocket contest, was created in 2002 to encourage middle and high school students to study math and science and pursue careers in aerospace. This year’s challenge is to design, build, and fly a one-stage model rocket carrying two raw eggs to an altitude of 750 feet, keep it aloft for 45 seconds and return it safely to the ground with the 2 raw eggs unbroken. Registration begins September 5, 2007 and is open to all US schools and non profit youth organizations. To register and sign up for exciting updates, visit
