Science and Mathematics Education Center (SAMEC)
The Science and Mathematics Education Center (SAMEC) coordinates a variety of outreach and public service programs at the University of Arizona (UA) in Tucson, as well as other programs and activities that are of direct importance to teachers and their students. Numerous teacher education and outreach programs at the UA have blossomed in recent years as part of a campus-wide initiative in science and mathematics education. Educators and prospective teachers are encouraged to contact SAMEC for information about these programs.
