The Graduate Research Award opportunity is for graduate students doing research related to public safety aviation issues. The Virginia Space Grant Consortium is now managing this program on behalf of the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) of the National Academies’ Transportation Research Board.
Note that this award is also open to U.S. and non-US citizens who meet the award requirements.
This is a great venue for students to receive a $10K award to work on a faculty mentored project. The ACRP also assigns two topical experts as mentors. Awardees have the opportunity to present their work at the TRB’s national conference and to be published in the meeting Compendium of Papers and the Transportation Research Record.
