Six female students from NAU attended the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics, held on January 18-20th in Logan, UT, and had the opportunity to meet other women in physics, learn about graduate school and potential professions in physics and participate in professional skills development seminars. The NAU/NASA Space Grant Program has provided travel support for 35 students over the past 8 years to attend this annual conference that is sponsored by the American Physical Society.

“The CUWiP 2018 at USU allowed me to meet and connect with other women also studying physics. It also gave me a better idea of what graduate school is like, and supplied me with tools and skills to gain experience and be more involved in the department.” – quote by Victoria Girgis.
