Primary Responsibilities/ Focus Areas of Internship: The intern will support the team with research, data analysis, project coordination, and day-to-day operational activities related to high-altitude ballooning, stratospheric remote sensing, and ISR. Responsibilities may include assisting with data collection and analysis, supporting technical and business projects, preparing reports and presentations, conducting research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The intern will gain exposure to aerospace operations, remote sensing technologies, and emerging stratospheric intelligence solutions.
Key Tasks/Projects the Intern may be involved with:
- Assist with analyzing high-altitude balloon and sensor data using AI and machine-learning tools: The intern will learn how AI can identify patterns, anomalies, and actionable information within large datasets.
- Explore how data from multiple sensors and modalities can be combined to improve situational awareness and intelligence: The intern will gain experience with data fusion and AI-assisted analysis.
- Automation & Data Processing / Stratospheric Intelligence Applications: Apply AI concepts to real-world aerospace and ISR challenges, helping evaluate how emerging technologies can improve persistent observation and decision-making.
- Conduct research into emerging AI, remote-sensing, and aerospace technologies and present findings to technical and program teams: The intern will develop practical skills in research, technical communication, and applying AI to real-world industry problems.
