Congratulations to FY 2011 Space Grant Intern, Michael Schaffner, selected one of 74 students from over 850 applicants across the nation to present his Space Grant research on Capitol Hill!  Michael will exhibit a poster, “Water on the Moon: Remote Sensing from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter”, detailing his work with Dr. William Boynton from the Lunar & Planetary Laboratory at the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) Posters on the Hill 2012 event April 24, 2012.

FY 2007, 2008 Space Grant Intern, Chelsea Hodson, was awarded the PEN Center Emerging Voices Fellowship. Originally from Phoenix, she received her BA in journalism from the University of Arizona in 2009. She has worked as a Space Grant intern for NASA’s Phoenix Mars Mission. Her chapbook, BEACH CAMP, was published in 2010. Chelsea lives in Los Angeles and is writing an essay collection.
